Why India

Documented quality

As global buyers diversify away from Chinese-sourced capital equipment for supply-chain risk reasons, India offers a well-documented alternative source that helps Vietnamese suppliers answer the provenance questions electronics OEMs ask of their component suppliers.

Competitive pricing

Pricing remains competitive against Japanese and Korean-brand machines commonly sold in Vietnam, while offering better documentation than typical Chinese imports.

Responsive support

A 2.5-hour time difference from India supports convenient same-day scheduling for remote diagnostics and support calls.

Logistics & trade ties

India's growing trade engagement with ASEAN economies, including Vietnam, provides an increasingly well-trodden commercial and logistics path for Indian exporters.

Sectors

Vietnam's demand for cutting and welding capacity concentrates in a handful of manufacturing sectors, most visibly around Bac Ninh and Hai Phong.

Cutting and welding machine demand in Vietnam

Vietnam has become one of the world's fastest-growing manufacturing destinations, absorbing substantial electronics, machinery and light industrial investment as companies diversify supply chains away from China. Bac Ninh and Hai Phong's electronics clusters, alongside the Dong Nai and Binh Duong industrial parks near Ho Chi Minh City, have created strong demand for precise, reliable metal fabrication equipment feeding component and enclosure manufacturing.

Vietnamese fabricators supplying multinational electronics and machinery OEMs must meet exacting quality and delivery standards, and many are actively upgrading from older cutting technologies to fiber laser systems to keep pace with rising production volumes and tighter tolerances.

Shipping terms and logistics

Sea freight from Kolkata or Haldia to Hai Phong or Ho Chi Minh City typically transships via Singapore or Colombo with an indicative transit of 14–20 days. CIF delivery is available to either port alongside standard FOB Kolkata or Delhi terms. Standard export terms are FOB Kolkata or Delhi / CIF.

Warranty, spares and remote support

Machines carry a 12-month warranty on core systems, backed by remote diagnostic support typically within 4 working hours and stocked wear spares — nozzles, lenses, torch consumables, contact tips and drive rollers — for prompt air-freight dispatch to Vietnam. Customised extended warranty available on request.

Export orders are quoted on FOB Kolkata or Delhi / CIF terms, with 70% advance with confirmed order, 30% before shipment.

Currency and regulatory notes

Quotations are issued in US dollars, the standard invoicing currency for Vietnamese import transactions.

Vietnam applies standard import duty on industrial machinery with a relatively straightforward customs process for capital equipment, and the documentation required for your machine is confirmed at the quotation stage; buyers should confirm current duty rates and any registration requirements with their customs clearing agent.
